Secretary of the Burtons’ St Leonards Society and represents the society on the board of Hastings Trust. Involved with heritage Open days and Save Our Heritage Group. Resident in St Leonards for twenty five years. Taught for over thirty years and was head of special needs in a large comprehensive school for ten years. Has been a trustee of Hastings Trust for ten years.
Formerly East Sussex Manager for the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) handling several landscape projects in partnership with the Trust.
Theatre Director with lifelong interest in theatre. Directs and acts at Stables Theatre and Arts Centre and runs annual Youth Project. Worked for HM Customs and Excise in a number of capacities including Training Manager, Facilitator, Equal Opportunities Policy and Head of Local VAT Office. Has lived in Hastings Old Town for 14 years.

Active member of Soundwaves community choir since its creation in 2009 (www.soundwaveschoir.org.uk). Member of Lower Cornwallis Allotment Association. Formerly Director of the Hastings Urban Conservation Project (HUCP) and first Director of Hastings Trust (1989 -91). Trustee since January/February 2013. Chair since March 2014.
The Loan Officer for the Innovative Finance loan fund at the Hastings Trust since January 2010. Native to Hastings, and has always lived and worked in the town. Worked mainly in banking and as the Credit Union worker for eight years prior to joining the Trust.
Freelance consultant with more than 20 years’ experience of working in marketing, business development and project management with artists and community/arts-based organisations. She has had a varied career starting out as a researcher at the BBC before joining a leading producer and distributor of arts programming for television, film and the home video market. For seven years she was a director at wave, an award-winning graphic design agency in Hastings. From 2012-2014 she managed the Interreg Eco Fab project for Hastings Trust and provides ongoing support to Trustees.
